Just off the road from Aberdeen to Aboyne, on the banks of the River Dee, Milton of Crathes is a cracking place to stretch your legs. The farm shop's a treat and cafe does a lovely cuppa (and dishes which I haven’t tried yet!) Perfect for a coffee and a cake, a browse of local goodies, or a unique gift and catch up with friendly staff which makes a relaxed vibe.
Location's a winner, right on the Dee. Ideal for a wee stroll by the river. Beautiful scenery, a proper escape from the city, makes a perfect weekend family day out.
