I recently lost my father very suddenly and Barry Whalen Funeral Directors were truly outstanding throughout this difficult time. From the moment they became involved, they were professional, compassionate, and incredibly supportive. They handled everything with care and respect and went above and beyond to arrange my dad’s cremation sooner than expected, so I could take his ashes home from Patna, to Newport, South Wales.
I really don’t think these people get the respect they deserve… until somebody suddenly needs them.

As this was my first experience of trying to arrange a funeral i was full of trepidation at the thought of making mistakes and letting my late husband down. Mr Barry Whalen walked me through every stage of the process with great consideration and patience. He was genuinely thoughtful and caring allowing me to phone him at any time day or night to share my concerns with him and to listen to me. I have never met a kinder more professional man who treated both my late husband and myself with such respect and dignity and i would certainly recommend him most highly to anyone looking for a sympathet
