I used John Saunders & Son for my dad's funeral 21 years ago and they were excellent, caring and helpful. I have now used them for my mum's funeral this week and the quality, helpful and kind service is just as good if not better. My mum recently passed away due to illness and my dad and i chose John Saunders & Son funeral directors. I have to say that everyone I dealt with from the night they collected my mum to the day of the service were extremely kind and helpful and reassuring during a very sad time. My main worry was having to leave my mum in a strange place on her own but on entering the building my concerns went away and I felt I made the right choice by her. It is not a situation anyone wants to deal with but I can not thank them enough.

John Saunders were chosen by my family to handle our mothers funeral in September 2013.
Our point of contact was Marie who was very professional and empathised with our loss, rather than leaving us with the impression that we were "Just another customer" through the door.
The whole experience whilst difficult was made much easier to handle due to the manner in which John Saunders conducted themselves, and we would not hesitate in recommending them. Nothing was too much trouble for Marie to handle for us.

My grandad worked for both Saunders and Nevilles and when he died there was no hesitation of going straight to Saunders. They made my grandad feel like family when he worked for them and as an ‘insider’ from working there - he told us they treated the dead with the most respect and he would want to go to them. He was right, they was outstanding with every aspect of the funeral and made it very easy for the family.
I would highly recommend anyone to chose Saunders as you will be supported and it will be an easy process, in such a hard time.

Sadly my Mum passed away on 12th Sept, and was cremated on 10th Oct.
I decided to go with John Saunders and son after reading their website.
When booking the funeral was no pressure to at all: I was felt at ease.
They even made suggestions not to spend more than i need to.
booking to see her in chapel of rest not a problem.
On day of the funeral all went smoothly. Helen Cook (Civil Celebrant) was great.
My advise to anyone who needs to book a funeral in the Luton area to go with John Saunders and Son.
