Co-op Funeral Care stepped in and helped us when mum was unable to donate her body to science as had been planned. Rachel, at Cippenham branch, could not have been more helpful, supportive and professional. She took control of every aspect of mum’s cremation, leaving my sister and I time to make decisions and reflect on what the family wanted. We chose a Direct Cremation, which may not be to everyone’s taste, but as a very small, aging family it gave us an alternative to being overwhelmed by a full blown service, hymns and wake. Someone at the office was very rude to me while I was grieving. The grave was too small on the day (due to the office giving the grave diggers the wrong information) and it had to be re-dug while we were graveside; this was very distressing.
