If you love sugared donuts, you are at the right place. I bought a packet of 4 and finished them within a few hours!!! I don't have a sweet tooth and usually one is more than enough but oh my, they were light and has a lovely fragrance to it. Not like those on the high street where the texture was thick, fatty and oily and taste of aged oil.

I’m a massive fan of Baynes. It’s a chain of bakeries across north east Scotland, although I think they’re starting to open more shops up in the west too.
It’s a typical bakery that serves pastries, cakes, bread etc. Their scotch pie in my opinion is amongst the best I’ve ever had (although you’ll definitely want to have it hot). Steak bake is also far better than the obvious competitor, Greggs. More filling with better quality beef; the gravy is also a lot nicer.
You can get a morning roll - bacon, sausage, lorne etc and these are also lovely.
