Having never lost anyone before we didn’t know what to expect .We walked into the Peebles branch and was immediately looked after by Emma who was lovely .Later that afternoon Leslie came round to my father in laws house who was 95 .He was absolutely incredible with him, listened and organised our wishes. From the first visit to dropping off the flowers the day after the funeral he kept in touch and dealt with everything to perfection. A great professional organised company with wonderful staff.
Thank-you to you all .

All the staff at William Purves in Peebles were incredible. We recently lost our Dad suddenly and unexpectedly, Leslie could not have been more supportive, compassionate and organised. They were just there for us whenever we needed them. Huge thanks to you all, from my first contact to the last, you were all so professional and kind. You made the worst of times that wee bit easier and I’ll always be grateful.

I would totally commend Wm Purves of Peebles for the efficient, courteous and sympathetic service provided for my late wife recently, and especially Jamie Beattie and Emma Bertram, who were always available and completely supportive of my needs.

We were very pleased with the service given and with Lesley who was empathetic, considerate and went out of his way to help us with the arrangements we wanted at this difficult time.

Out of the blue, one day you find your life has changed forever. You find yourself sitting in the office of a funeral directors, not knowing what to do, what to expect. Never did we think we'd think about leaving a review - but here we are. The kindness, empathy and genuine care by Leslie and Emma at the Peebles office of William Purves was outstanding when we lost our youngest son to suicide in May 2024 💔
It's taken some time in getting round to writing this review - and why does a Funeral Directors need a review people may ask? Well, no Directors are the same and some have been unscrupulous
