Jo Birkin was taught by my mother; she was two years below me at school. I moved to London 40 years ago, so it was a strangely delightful experience to be re-acquainted with her because my mother had planned her funeral at Birkin & Sons. Respectful, caring & warm, Jo went through the whole process with me in the charming cottage premesis in Coggeshall. It was actually an extremely cathartic experience and I know the funeral will be a celebration of mother and her life. It is truly wonderful to be dealing with someone who really has a connection with us.

Birkins were such wonderful, caring people, who looked after my late father's body. They were a pleasure to deal with at a very sensitive time for the family.
I was especially pleased that they sourced an incredibly beautiful bouquet of South African flowers for my South African-born dad - they heard what I suggested and came up with something that was so lovely that I was blown away. I couldn't recommend them more.
(They were also much more reasonable than the competition, which always helps!)

We would like to say a massive thank you to Birkin and son for their touching and professional funeral service. we lost our brother a few weeks ago suddenly.I contacted Joe at Birkin and son and she couldn’t do enough to help our family .we come from all over the country Joe spoke to everyone who had questions and made requests happen, Joe is such a lovely calm caring person and so easy to talk to .
