I had already, reluctantly, done a little online research as due to my Mum's age (99) and deteriorating health I knew the day would soon come when we needed the services of a Funeral Director. I liked the fact that it was a family business and whilst not wanting cost to be the primary concern at a time like this, it was good that the total cost was shown - and this was considerably less than we had paid a few years ago for my mother-in-law's funeral.

What an amazing funeral company my Dad Ian Masterson passed away suddenly on 27 February and we had no idea how to organise a funeral. My brother phoned and spoke to Ashley and he was the nicest down to earth person you could speak to at a very difficult time. He put us in touch with his partner Charlotte who couldn’t do enough for us, and was so attentive to my mum she organised the funeral, leaflets, newspaper notice, collection of ashes nothing was too much trouble and again shes extremely respectful and down to earth. From dealing with Stevie first on the phone and then meeting Melanie in person at the Cleveleys branch and how lovely, kind and compassionate she was, just reinforced that we had made the right decision for Northern Cremations to look after the funeral arrangements for our Aunt. Melanie was so personable and explained everything thoroughly and made a very sad and difficult time less of a burden so thank you for that!!!

My dads veteran funeral was much more than I anticipated and yet was so easily organised. All I had to do was state what kind of funeral I wanted. I might be callous to mention that the cost was half the price of other funeral services when you considered other funeral companies EXTRA costs. You did my dad proud . thank you.
