It was an emotional visit to the memorial today, being from Australia. It was amazing to see the design and it really felt Aussie, slightly unusual but striking. Very symbolic of the events of Gallipoli I thought. Also lovely to see all of the Australian town names carved into the granite. So well worth a visit when in London for any Aussie!

The Australian War Memorial on London is a stunning tribute to Aussies so far from home. The memorial was beautifully laid out with so much attention to detail. To find out that the stone was actually imported from Perth, WA makes it even more special.

The Australian War Memorial is a memorial dedicated in 2003 to the 102,000 Australian dead of the First and Second World Wars. It is just next to the Wellington Arch, which can’t be missed.

On the wall, you can find the names of the 47 major battles in which, Australian forces were involved in the World Wars. The Australia War Memorial is
