Very much a hidden in plain sight experience. I’ve lived in London for over 30 years and hadn’t been inside before, but happy I took advantage of my new English Heritage membership to do so. There are four floors of exhibition space. One dedicated to the interesting history of the arch, one is a war remembrance space (could have been more engaging), and two floors of temporary exhibition space that were being used for a contemporary art show on my visit (loved this). Then you have the outdoor terraces where you can spy on the goings on below and which offer a different perspective towards the

Interesting history of this great monument from when it was first built to the time it was moved to where it stands today. It also was a police station and the statue of wellington now stands in aldershot . Its present statue was commissioned by king Edward VII
