I would highly recommend Gordon Barber's Funeral Directors. From my initial contact all the way through the process, they were very professional. We opted for the small family only service in their own chapel of rest, it was a nice, personal way to say goodbye.

Right from the outset the whole process of dealing with Mums death was made easy, I have not been in this situation before but they just stepped in and took control of the logistics. Hazel at the Loddon branch was so helpful and empathetic, family members had differing funeral ideas but she took this all in her stride to make the whole process as stress free as possible, making suggestions when we were floundering. The funeral itself was what we had asked for and a fitting tribute to Mum despite lockdown.

My father died suddenly in March 2015. We went to Youngs and they were very good. My father had planned his own funeral but I think if he hadn't Youngs would have been very helpful. As it was they were very accommodating to the particular funeral format which we came up with. They were very efficient in the background and not intrusive - but you new they were there when you needed advice. They were very kind and gentle to my mother and straightforward which is what was right for her. Reluctant to rate as 'fantastic' as this doesn't seem appropriate for a funeral but you understand what

This is the second time I have had to use the Loddon branch of Gordon Barber's in less than a year, sadly. Firstly for my dad and this month for my husband, my dad's was preplanned and because I was so impressed with everything I didn't hesitate about using this branch again. Nothing was too much trouble, I was able to chose exactly what I wanted, and, if I was unsure I was given options/suggestions/advice. I was not rushed and infact probably took much l longer there than I should have done, sorry! The funeral went very well and everyone has told me how nice it was! I will have to menti
