I would highly recommend Chapman and Medd. Claire at the Easingwold branch was absolutely brilliant. It was the first time I had to arrange/plan a funeral I did not know where to begin and Claire made it so easy. She was extremely professional and thoughtful and caring. I was given wrong advice about payment and when I pointed this out the member of staff responsible apologised, while the organisation doubled down on protecting her and denying any wrongdoing.
You’ll note all their good reviews finish a few years ago. Presumably when they got bought by a national corporate.
Avoid at all costs. There are other funeral directors around Easingwold. Choose any one of them. Make sure they’re local. Properly local.
