I cannot recommend Hay Meadow burials highly enough. My father had wanted a green burial and as such we were so fortunate to find Hay Meadow so close by. The whole process was made easy to arrange and Sarah was so kind and helpful answering our many questions. We never felt any pressure about anything and were able to give dad the burial we felt he would have wanted. I have been back to the meadow several times and it is the most peaceful special place to be and to remember dad. Living near Birmingham and restricted by the pandemic, it has been over 18 months since I’ve been able to visit my brother’s grave at Hay Meadow Burial. My recent visit left me very impressed with all the improvements carried, out during my absence, to make Hay Meadow even more of a pleasure to spend time at. The addition of a shelter, featuring slate heart memorials, toilet facilities, picnic tables and benches has all been done with real consideration for the environment and without distracting from the natural beauty of the setting. It has taken me a while to write this review but felt strongly that I needed to. This year I had to do what no parent should have to do....bury a child. In the initial days of the loss and confusion and feeling strongly that I wanted to send my child off without the constraints of the traditional funeral by divine intervention I came across Hay Meadow on Google search and I made the call. On the other end was the calming caring voice of Sarah who from there on helped me along with her husband to plan the most beautiful send off for my beautiful child.
