Unfortunately my wife died on the 24/07/2025, with a very short diagnosis of 1 month, I was dealt with the funeral by such a caring Funeral Directors a Celebrant which was so calming in such a traumatic time, I can't thank Wakeley and staff enough. The thoughts are so daunting but with their expertise being dealt with so professionally and with kindness was unsurpassed thank you all so much for all the kindness you have shown sorry a bit late putting my comments on but still trying to come to terms with the loss of my wife 48 years married.!!!!!

A few days ago my son was cremated. The thought of sorting a funeral together with my daughter in law was the most daunting and unwelcome thing we have ever had to face.
Enter Frank from Wakeley's.
We had a home meeting at which he went through all we would need to know. He asked us about our wishes and answered all our questions.
He is quiet, very pleasant and professional. We were put at ease immediately.
We literally did nothing but say what we wanted.
Frank put it all together and followed everything we asked for.

Matt, Laura, and Naomi, you were phenomenal. We had the most dignified service from you all at Wakley's, ringing the office, nothing was ever too much trouble, we are a huge family, and you catered for all of our needs from coming to see mum at the chapel of rest, to changes in the order of service and keeping us updated at all times. Matt even met me at the Sherborne office to discuss final arrangements, as it was convenient for me.

I went to 3 different funeral directors before deciding, I really could not have chosen any better from the very first moment I went inside there doors the receptionist was very kind and caring.
Frank was who arranged everything for my husbands Funeral so caring and compassionate nothing was to much. They are extremely professional in what they do.
I was able to take all the time I wanted from the time they arrived at my home to leaving the crematorium .
They are definitely the people I want to do my Funeral when the time comes.
