Despite recent reviews, I’ve had a very different experience with Orchard Manor. The staff here show exceptional kindness and understanding, especially towards residents living with dementia — they treat everyone with patience, dignity and genuine compassion. The management are approachable and are always willing to listen to families’ feedback, which I’ve found very reassuring. Activities are well thought out and tailored to residents’ needs, both inside the home and through carefully supported trips. The home is always clean, welcoming, and feels more like a community than an institution. It

My Dad (he has fairly advanced Alzheimers) has been a resident at Orchard Manor since Aug 2024 and it's been nothing short of fantastic. He is content, well looked after, well fed and loves the hustle and bustle of daily life, the trips and the entertainment. Look at OMs Facebook page to see what they get up to! Our loved one was in the care of orchard manor for a year . From arriving here to the end of his dementia journey they have been nothing but amazing caring and compassionate. Always keeping us informed and up to date with changes and developments in his health and well being .We have always felt welcome and included in all aspects of his care and needs especially in the last few weeks of his life making his last few weeks and days comfortable and as peaceful as we could as hoped for . We can’t thank them enough

I Do Not Recommend Orchard Manor — poor care and broken promises. This nursing home has been a huge disappointment. Management is unfriendly, rude and do not communicate even when you raise an issue with them. Many of the promises made during the initial tour were simply not kept. These include trips out which are almost non-existent, the activities in the home are ok but are not always on as listed on the homes activity sheets, the external ones are much better, and most residents seem to enjoy these. Hairdressing and beauty services were also advertised but hardly ever offered. They say t

A Concerning Experience – Please Do Your Research I want to share our difficult experience with Orchard Manor. My father was meant to stay for longer, but after just under a week, he rapidly declined. We took him home, but he was so unwell, paramedics later admitted him to A&E with dehydration and malnutrition. 25 days later, he sadly passed away. We were shocked by his condition, as he had been in good health before entering the facility, with a recent check-up at home by his GP. Despite reassurances, the level of care was not what we had expected. For example, help with feeding and drinkin
