I found my experience of the Co-op Funeralcare everything that I would want at a time of grief and upset at the time of losing my wife. All the staff during the period before, during and after the funeral treated myself and my family with care and respect. They were helpful and efficient, guiding me when I needed it, acting in a helpful and friendly manner, and with great understanding. Coming from a mining village around Sunderland, the Co-op was always the focus for shopping, and the Co-op Funeral-care was the goto provider in the village, so, for me, the care shown to me was almost a step-b

Our family wish to thank both Claire and Lynda for the sensitivity and consideration shown so easily to us amidst a sorrowful period of loss. Claire handled any hurdles with calm professionalism - most notably being the unforeseen flat tyre that one of the limousines incurred en route to collecting our family; she had contingencies in place to minimise the disruption. After the procession and service, Lynda called us to apologise for the subsequent distress caused and offered a full refund for the second limousine we hired. Positive things were keeping in touch with the family regularly and professional people. However I did think the issue about how many poll bearers were required so late in the day ( at the door of the house) was something that caused me (son in law) a bit of unexpected concern . Would have rather that hadn’t happened and something you should look to avoid in the future
