As sad as I am to be in the position to leave a review for a funeral director, I have to leave 5 stars for James Hamilton Funeral Directors. I was handling the arrangements for my mums funeral and had rung several different funeral directors in the area because I wanted to make sure I felt like my mum would be taken care of. I chose James Hamilton not only because of how kind Jim was on the phone, how carefully he listened and didn’t push anything on me during an initial call but the fact that he said “if you can find anyone cheaper please feel free to go with them”. We chose James Hamilton for my fathers funeral on the 31st of January 2022, after being very pleased with his excellent service for my father-in-laws arrangements two years prior. From beginning to end Jim provided a perfect service, and every detail was taken care of, including flowers and music for the service. Sadly, we had to get in touch with Jim, following the passing of our Dad in September. Jim had looked after our Grans funeral 15 years before, and there was never a question who we as a family wanted to look after our beloved Dad. Nothing was any problem to Jim. The respect he showed not only us as a family but to my Dad was way and above anything anyone could expect. Jim was the absolute professional, a source of strength for me personally during an extremely difficult time.
