Bruce and Claire at Tomalin and Son were extremely helpful in arranging a ceremony for someone who did not want a funeral whilst his family wanted closure. A small private cremation was planned and at a date convenient for a daughter travelling from China. Bruce was kind and gentle with us, steering us through various decisions until plans were confirmed. He would call into the house, take phone calls and navigate the different opinions that were expressed. A brilliant Celebrant was found and the cremation service was exactly as we wanted to remember the life of a loved one.

The chapel of rest here is the most awful one I have been in.. The office is right across the hall and you can hear every phone call. The photo copier is at the back of the chapel and the funeral directors pay no concern to the fact that you are trying to spend some quiet time with your loved one. - I had the misfortune to call a couple of times when my father was in their care- and I found them to be the most uncompassionate people I have come across in the my experiences with funeral directors.
