Went to the model railway exhibition over the Easter weekend which we thoroughly enjoyed. The people there were lovely, had some really interesting conversations about railway history, local history and future events. Such a beautiful building, a real treasure and an absolute delight to visit. A really enjoyable Saturday afternoon. Can't wait to go back.

I used to visit this building back in the days of it being a library, but now, due to the group of volunteers the place is now a history centre where you can research many subjects of historical significance. The building was neglected after being shut down as a library but the volunteers worked wonders to restore it to its former glory and indeed it hasn't lost any of its former grandeur. Talks on various subjects take place throughout the year, they also have many items for sale, books, postcard photographs, pens, the sale of these items help with the running costs of the place. A true community resource for local history and family history. A unique facility for the people of Hull. Run by volunteers, everyone is welcome and given help to do their research.

Like a Tardis!! Much bigger inside than you think and full of information and resources of all kinds. Good desk space for individual research. Lovely staff. Check opening days and times, though.

Great place to learn about family history and other events at the library.
